About Tasteville Rewards

The Tasteville Rewards program is the customer loyalty program which Grocerykart Pty Ltd trading as Tasteville operates throughout Australia.

By registering as a member at tasteville.com.au, shopping online at tasteville.com.au or using or attempting to collect, access or enjoy any Member Benefits, you agree that these T&Cs will apply to you in respect of the Tasteville Rewards program.

These terms and conditions are important and you should read them fully. But there are some specific terms we wanted to make you aware of. These are set out below.

Your Tasteville Rewards points will expire if you do not use or redeem your points/dollars for a period of 18 months. 

If your Tasteville Rewards credentials are lost, or stolen we may issue you with a replacement points at tasteville.com.au but are in no way obligated to do so. Any reinstatement of your points will also be at our discretion.

We may change, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions or the Tasteville Rewards program at any time. However, we’ll give you notice ahead of time on our website.

We may at any time without notice: 

  • refuse your application to become an Tasteville Rewards member; 
  • decline to issue you a card or provide any other membership facility;
  • withdraw or cancel your membership facilities or member benefits;
  • reverse any member benefits, including your Tasteville Rewards points; or 
  • terminate your membership.

To the extent permitted by law:

  1. we will not be liable to you in any way for any cause in connection with your membership and the Tasteville Rewards Program; and
  2. our liability to you will be limited to either the costs of re-supply or repair, or reinstating the number of points, dollars or other member benefits in dispute.

Definitions

Collect refers to the points you earn when you shop online or in-store. 

Eligible Shop means spend at tasteville.com.au or in-store. Minimum spend and minimum redeemable spend (excluding any No Earn Purchases) varies time to time. Currently, that is a minimum of $150. 

Enjoy refers to the use / redemption of your Tasteville Rewards dollars at tasteville.com.au or in-store. 

Tasteville Rewards means the customer loyalty program which Grocerykart Pty Ltd trading as Tasteville operates throughout Australia. 

Tasteville Rewards account means your Tasteville Rewards online account that you can access via the Tasteville Website or through any other means we have authorised, for example by logging into an authorised smartphone app or digital wallet. 

Tasteville Rewards dollars or Rewards dollars means the credit held in your account following the exchange of Tasteville Rewards points, which can be used when you shop online or in-store which offer this reward facility. 

Tasteville Rewards points or Rewards points means the points which may be collected and enjoyed by Members in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. 

Member means an individual who has been allocated an Tasteville Rewards membership account and whose Tasteville Rewards membership has not been terminated in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. Tasteville Rewards membership has a corresponding meaning. 

Member Benefits means benefits you can collect or be awarded from time to time in connection with the Tasteville Rewards program, for instance, Tasteville Rewards points, Tasteville Rewards dollars, exclusive personalised Tasteville Rewards member offers and the other types of benefits mentioned in these T&Cs.

Membership Facility means any means by which you access the Tasteville Rewards program (including any Member Benefits) e.g. your Tasteville Rewards Card, the Tasteville Rewards at our website, or any smartphone app or digital wallet authorised by us. 

No Earn Purchases means products or services sold online or in-store that are excluded from collecting Tasteville Rewards points within the Tasteville Rewards program as mentioned below.

Redemption Business means the businesses where Tasteville Rewards dollars may be enjoyed by Members as mentioned below. 

Smartphone App means a digital app that is offered by Tasteville. 

Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) means the terms and conditions on this page, as amended and published on the Tasteville Rewards Website from time to time.

Membership

To become an Tasteville Rewards member, you need to be an individual and have a current Australian residential address. If you are under the age of 18, you need the consent of your parent or guardian to join.

You can join (i.e. register as a member) in one of 2 ways: 

  • register for an account at Tasteville Website; and/or
  • completing a purchase at Tasteville website as a registered customer

Joining is free and there are no fees to continue as a member.

If you choose not to register yourself as a member, you may not be able to take advantage of any Member Benefits or purchase any products at Tasteville Website.

Earning Points

Tasteville Rewards points are what you collect when you shop online or in-store. Tasteville Rewards points will not be collected on No Earn Purchases listed out below. 

You can enjoy your Tasteville Rewards points as money off your shopping. Details of how you can enjoy your Tasteville Rewards points below.

Once you have collected 2000 Tasteville Rewards points, you will receive:

$10 Tasteville Rewards dollars to enjoy off a future shop online or in-store listed below unless this would result in you having more than $500 Tasteville Rewards dollars

  • tasteville.com.au 
  • Physical stores or businesses as we advertise from time to time

Currently Tasteville Rewards points cannot be collected at any of our in-store locations.

You will not collect Tasteville Rewards points on any money you spend on Gift Cards, e-gift cards and delivery charges. 

Additional exclusions: products that may not show how much Rewards Points you might collect.

You will collect a minimum of 1 Tasteville Rewards point for every dollar you spend online or in-store at locations listed above, excluding any money spent on the No Earn Purchases listed above.

At times we will run points boosters whereby you can collect up to 10x points per dollar you spend, for instance an offer to collect points on particular products, or an offer to collect points on your whole shop (excluding any No Earn Purchases and any other purchases we may stipulate in the T&Cs for that promotion). Some of these points boosters may be exclusive personalised offers to collect points based on your individual profile, and will be available only on your Tasteville account.

The Tasteville Rewards points you collect will be rounded up or down to the nearest even number of points.

When shopping in-store, you may need to show your Tasteville Rewards Card barcode to be scanned at POS, or scan or tap your Tasteville Rewards Card – either your physical card or a digital card – at the checkout prior to the conclusion of the transaction. If you do not show your barcode, scan or tap your Tasteville Rewards Card at the checkout before the transaction is finalised, you will not collect Tasteville Rewards points on that shop.  

When you are shopping online, minimum and maximum cart totals for collecting and redeeming Tasteville Rewards points may apply. This may be different from minimum and maximum spend to complete a purchase at Tasteville Website.

Tasteville Rewards points collected may take up to 5 NSW business days for your points to be shown in your account.

Any points that have been collected through participation in a points booster may take up to 7 NSW business days to be shown in your account, unless otherwise stipulated in the T&Cs for that points booster.

Any points that have been collected through participation in a Bonus Reward Offer may take up to 10 NSW business days after the Offer Period, to be shown in your account, unless otherwise stipulated in the T&Cs for that Bonus Rewards Offer.

Enjoying Points

Tasteville Rewards points can be enjoyed as money off your shopping.

Once you have collected 2000 Tasteville Rewards points, this can be enjoyed as $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars. This gives you $10 off a future Eligible Shop of at least $150. 

When shopping on tasteville.com.au, your $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars will apply to your total eligible Shop.

The maximum money off your shopping on any order is limited to $50 or 10,000 Rewards Points.

You can enjoy money off your shopping as soon as you have at least $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars in your Tasteville Rewards account (i.e. 2000 Tasteville Rewards points) and you complete an Eligible Shop (i.e. at least $150 excluding any No Earn Purchases) in-store or online. 

When shopping on tasteville.com.au, your $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars will apply to your total Eligible Shop. 

You will be prompted at the in-store or online checkout to decide whether or not you want to enjoy your Tasteville Rewards dollars (in multiples of $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars) on your first Eligible Shop after your balance hits $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars, or whether you want to keep your Tasteville Rewards dollars savings for enjoyment against a future Eligible Shop. E.g. you have $20 Tasteville Rewards dollars in your account and you spend $20 on a transaction online or in-store of which $5 is on No Earn Purchases. If you choose to enjoy $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars, this means you will receive $10 off your shopping and the other $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars will remain in your account.

You are able to choose the amount of Tasteville Rewards dollars you want to enjoy (in multiples of $10 Tasteville Rewards dollars) against an Eligible Shop online. If you do not use all of the Tasteville Rewards dollars in your account, the remainder will be retained in your account for use. E.g. if you have $50 Tasteville Rewards dollars saved in your account and your Eligible Shop is $200, you can choose $30 Tasteville Rewards dollars to use on this shop and keep the remaining $20 Tasteville Rewards dollars for another Eligible Shop. The full $50 Tasteville Rewards dollars will not automatically be deducted as money off your shop. This ability to partially use your Tasteville Rewards dollars is available online at tasteville.com.au. You will not be able to partially use your Tasteville Rewards dollars in some circumstances.

Tasteville Rewards dollars cannot be enjoyed on purchases made in-store or online for all gift cards, delivery charges, and donations..

Other Member Benefits

You may qualify for other promotions, special benefits and exclusive offers from Tasteville and selected third-party businesses which we may offer or enable as part of the Tasteville Rewards program from time to time. These are known as Faves or Extras. 

Faves refer to personalised specials based on products you have purchased in the past.

Extras are non-points benefits which can include member-only discounts, free samples, newsletters and competitions offered by Tasteville and selected third-party businesses.

Additional terms and conditions may apply to these Faves and Extras which may be notified to Members on the relevant section of the Tasteville Rewards website or in any Member communications.

Please see the section titled “What communications will I receive from Tasteville Rewards and how can I opt-out of certain messages” for details about unsubscribing from Tasteville Rewards communications.

Account Balance

You cannot have more than 100,000 Tasteville Rewards points in your account at any one time.

If you have more than 100,000 Tasteville Rewards pointa in your account, you will not be able to collect any Tasteville Rewards dollars in excess of this amount and, before you will be able to continue earning Tasteville Rewards points you will need to redeem your Tasteville Rewards points to be below 100,000 against your Eligible Shop(s); and/or 

we will reduce your Tasteville Rewards dollars in another way chosen by us at our discretion having regard to our legitimate business interests, our risk assessment and applicable law (for example, by converting Tasteville Rewards dollars back into Tasteville Rewards points).

Yes, your Tasteville Rewards balance will expire if you do not earn or redeem Tasteville Rewards points or dollars for a period of 18 months. This includes any earned or redeemed points in-store or where you have completed an Online transaction.

You can check your Tasteville Rewards balance in your account by logging into your Tasteville account.

Note: 

Tasteville Rewards points collected may take up to 5 NSW business days for your points to be shown in your account.

Any points that have been collected through participation in a points booster may take up to 7 NSW business days to be shown in your account, unless otherwise stipulated in the T&Cs for that points booster.

Any points that have been collected through participation in a Bonus Reward Offer may take up to 10 NSW business days after the Offer Period, to be shown in your account, unless otherwise stipulated in the T&Cs for that Bonus Rewards Offer.

Currently, the ability for members to transfer Tasteville Rewards points with other registered Tasteville Rewards members is unavailable. This feature will be added soon.

General

If you report your Tasteville Rewards Card as lost or stolen, you may create a new account at Tasteville Website.

Where we issue you with a replacement card for a lost or stolen card that was registered, or where you create a new account, any unused Tasteville Rewards points balance accrued to your old (i.e. lost or stolen) registered account will be transferred from your old card number to your new account. However, if any points balance credited to your old account were enjoyed before we could transfer them to your new account, whether by you or another person, Tasteville will not reimburse you for those points.

Note that reinstatement of current points balances on lost, stolen or damaged cards/accounts is at Tasteville’s sole discretion.

Tasteville will collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Tasteville Privacy Policy, which forms part of these T&Cs.

By registering as a member, using any other Membership Facility or using or attempting to collect, access or use any Member Benefits, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy, and understand that we will collect, use, store and disclose your personal information in accordance with its terms.

At Tasteville Rewards we love communicating with you about the Tasteville Rewards program, our partners and other Tasteville brands and programs. This includes sending you points boosters, faves and extras, plus asking you for your valuable feedback.

Unless you have opted out, you agree to us communicating with you via various channels and media (including by email, SMS, phone, mail, app notifications and by advertising on certain websites and social media).

At Tasteville Rewards we only want to send you messages that you are happy to receive, and we try to do our best to make sure our messages are relevant to you. However, we understand you may want to opt out of receiving certain types of marketing and promotional messages that we send you, you can do this by:

For emails:

logging on to the Tasteville website, going to My Account and updating your settings under Tasteville Rewards to opt in or out of receiving emails

For SMS:

sending “STOP” to the number we provide you on any of our marketing or promotional SMSs so that you don’t receive marketing or promotional SMSs from us anymore

Opting out of messages sent by us at Tasteville Rewards will not opt you out of receiving messages from our partners or other Tasteville brands or programs where you have signed up to them independently of your Tasteville Rewards membership.

If you would like to opt out of receiving messages from other Tasteville brands or programs or from our partners, please follow the opt out facilities in their communications or other opt out options set out in their terms and conditions.

If you have any questions about how to opt out or how to manage your preferences, please call the Tasteville Support Team via our website.

There are, however, some messages that we must be able to send you. These include, for example, messages relating to your membership such as changes to your account, important information relating to products and services you have purchased (like health and safety recall notices), forgotten passwords, updates to our T&Cs and Privacy Policy.

If you wish to update where we send the above communications to you, you can update your contact details by logging on to the Tasteville Website, going to My Account and clicking on ‘My Details’, or by contacting the Tasteville Rewards support team. Please note that if you update your contact details, it may take up to 5 business days before communications we send to you change from your previous contact details to your updated contact details.

If you do not want us to send you any of the above communications, you may terminate your Tasteville account membership by contacting us. If you terminate your Tasteville account membership this section will continue to apply for 20 business days after your notice of termination has been received.

Yes. Tasteville may change, suspend or terminate these T&Cs or the Tasteville Rewards program at any time.

We will give advance notice of any such change, suspension or termination on our website (or you can obtain details by contacting Tasteville Rewards support team), which will allow you time to cancel your membership within the period of that advance notice, in the event that you do not wish to agree to the relevant change or suspension.

Where we change the T&Cs, a copy of the revised T&Cs will be available on the Tasteville Rewards Website or can be obtained by contacting the Tasteville Rewards support team.

If you continue to use your Tasteville Rewards account or any other Membership Facilities or seek to access or use any Member Benefits after the period of advance notice has expired, you will be deemed to have accepted the amended T&Cs.

Please keep your personal details updated by updating your Tasteville account or contacting the Tasteville Rewards support team. This is because, if you don’t keep your personal details up to date, we may not be able to provide you with your Member Benefits, and we may need to cancel your membership and Tasteville Rewards Card.

It is your responsibility to keep your Tasteville account and any other Membership Facilities provided to you safe and secure. Please treat your Tasteville account password as your confidential information. You must take all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised use or access to your Tasteville Rewards Card, your Tasteville Rewards account and information about your membership, including your account password. This includes that you must not use a password for your Tasteville Rewards account which you have used for any other of your other online accounts. You acknowledge that unauthorised access to your Tasteville Rewards Card, account and personal information may occur if you do not take these steps.

Any tax, liability, or duty incurred by you arising from your participation in the Tasteville Rewards program is your responsibility.

You can only have one Tasteville Rewards Card per person, and you can’t transfer your membership to someone else.

Tasteville may terminate all memberships except one without notice, and this may lead to loss of Tasteville Rewards dollars or points without notice to you.

Member Benefits are conditional on you purchasing normal household quantities of goods and services. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a normal household quantity of any good or service and apply purchase limits for the collecting of Member Benefits. A purchase of goods or services may exceed a normal household quantity even if the purchase is split over more than one transaction.

Member Benefits may only be collected and used for personal and household use. You may not collect or use Member Benefits for any purchases on a charge account (i.e. where payment is not due upon completion of the transaction but only 30 days or some other agreed period thereafter) for a commercial purpose (which includes not-for-profit association purposes) or for any purchases of goods that could not reasonably be for personal and household use (either because of the nature or quantity of the goods).

Member Benefits are personal to you and, unless we notify you otherwise, cannot be transferred to anyone else.

Member Benefits cannot be exchanged or refunded except as expressly set out in these T&Cs.

Tasteville Rewards Cards issued by Tasteville time to time remain the property of Tasteville. Tasteville Rewards Cards are not credit or charge cards.

We may refuse your application for membership or your request to transfer points to other persons/entities for any reason.

From time to time we may exclude certain stores or businesses from the list of locations to earn or redeem Tasteville Rewards points. We may also add or remove items from the list of No Earn Purchases, or change the redemption rate of Tasteville Rewards dollars. We will give you notice of the excluded stores or businesses, or of changes to the list of No Earn Purchases or redemption rate of Tasteville Rewards dollars, on the Tasteville Rewards Website.

We may specify exclusions and conditions (for example qualifying spend and offer duration) for any Member Benefits and we may change these from time to time, including during the duration of a Member Benefit offer.

Tasteville may reverse (i.e. debit) any Member Benefits which have been allocated (i.e. credited) to you where you have returned the goods or you have been refunded for the goods or services in respect of which those Member Benefits were earned.

We may also reverse Member Benefits which have been allocated to you if there are any other grounds which we consider, in our reasonable discretion, justify a reversal, for instance, if the Member Benefits were allocated to you by mistake (including by reason of our error) or if you earned them by misusing an offer, or through fraudulent means.

We reserve the right to monitor your purchase history to ensure that any Member Benefits are accumulated legitimately.

We reserve the right at any time without notice to:

  • cancel any Tasteville accounts and with it, any Tasteville Rewards memberships;
  • decline to issue Tasteville Rewards Cards or provide any other Membership Facilities;
  • withdraw or cancel any Tasteville Rewards Cards, other Membership Facilities or Member Benefits;
  • reverse any Member Benefits, including any Tasteville Rewards dollars or Tasteville Rewards points credited to an account;
  • terminate or suspend your Tasteville Rewards membership; or
  • terminate the Tasteville Rewards program.

Grounds for doing any of the above include if you (or someone using your Tasteville Rewards Card or account details):

  • abuse, misuse or attempt to abuse or misuse your membership, your card, the Tasteville Rewards program, any offers for Member Benefits or anything else associated with Tasteville;
  • do anything that is contrary to these T&Cs (for example, you (or someone else using your Rewards Card or account details) purchases more than a household quantity of a particular good or service);
  • fraudulently accumulate Tasteville Rewards points or other Member Benefits;
  • use or attempt to use your card or Tasteville Rewards dollars, Tasteville Rewards points or any other Member Benefits, for purchases made by a person other than you;
  • engage in unacceptable conduct in connection with your membership, which will be deemed to include if Tasteville has a reasonable suspicion of conduct by you which amounts to dishonesty, fraud or wrongful conduct (for example, you (or someone else using your Rewards Card or account details) use your account along with one or more other accounts engage in any of the activity referred to in this first four dot points of this list);
  • become bankrupt or die; or
  • have not scanned your card or shopped online at any Earn Business (where your card has been added to your relevant online account) at any time during a continuous 18 month period.

Any tampering with or defacing of or unauthorised use of a Tasteville Rewards Card will render the card invalid.

On cancellation of your membership (including through requested cancellation of your Tasteville Rewards Card), we may retain your membership information for record-keeping purposes and, in de-identified form, for our general data analysis purposes. We may allocate to another member any membership identifier (including number) previously allocated to you.

You agree that, except to the extent that these T&Cs expressly provide otherwise, we do not need to notify you in advance, or give you any reasons, with regard to any action we take concerning your membership.

You acknowledge and agree that there may be:

  • delay in issuing you with, or non-issue to you of, any Member Benefits;
  • delay in or non-replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged Tasteville Rewards Card;
  • acts, errors or omissions by us in the course of providing Member Benefits (including as referred to in these T&Cs);
  • loss, theft or damage to any documentation in the course of the posting or delivery of that documentation to you; or
  • a suspension and/or termination of the Tasteville Rewards program, including the ability for members to collect Tasteville Rewards points and enjoy Tasteville Rewards dollars,

and to the maximum extent permitted by law (and provided that nothing in these T&Cs limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law), we will not be liable to you in any way for any cause in connection with such matters, including for any unused Tasteville Rewards points or Tasteville Rewards dollars balance in your account at the time of termination.

You agree that any comments, suggestions or recommendations you may receive from us or others as part of Member Benefits may not be suitable, accurate or complete and you must not rely on them in a way which may give rise to any loss or damage. If you intend to rely on anything in connection with the Tasteville Rewards program, your reliance should be based solely on your own judgement, including as to the extent to which you should obtain or use any Member Benefits.

Provided that nothing in these T&Cs limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, any liability we may have to you in negligence, breach of contract or otherwise, and all conditions and warranties as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services supplied by Tasteville pursuant to these T&Cs, whether express or implied by statute, are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law, and, where liability cannot be excluded (such as where the Australian Consumer Law applies), our liability to you will in all cases be limited to: 

  • the cost of re-supplying the goods or services or repairing, or paying the costs of repairing, the goods; or
  • reinstating the number of Tasteville Rewards points, Tasteville Rewards dollars, or other Member Benefits, in dispute.

The above limitation of liability in Tasteville’ favour also applies to related bodies corporate (as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)) of Tasteville.
