Plain English Allergen Labelling or PEAL, as it is called, are the latest changes to product labelling requirements in Australia on how common allergens are declared.

This means now food allergen information is clearer, written in Plain English and is easier to understand for all customers.

For example, previously any allergen information was clubbed under ‘tree nuts’. However, now, manufacturers have to specify exactly what nut is present within the food product as an allergen. In this case, if it is Cashews, the product labelling must clearly specify that it contains ‘Cashews’.

Updated and latest product ingredients and allergen information that uses Palin English Allergen Labelling on all Tasteville products can be found on each product page.

Not only that, we’ve made it much easier for our customers to find a product using our updated Allergen filter.
